Amazon hiccups

Some well-known websites have been unavailable on Thursday because of problems with Amazon’s web hosting service.

amazon cloudAmazon EC2 is the retailer’s cloud computing business. It stores the data for many companies who don’t have their own data centers and it also provides processing power. Among sites affected by this hiccup was Foursquare, Reddit, Quora.

It was mentioned by BBC that the last time Amazon cloud service (american owned web host) hit the news was when being under pressure from US government they had to take off their mirrored version of Wikileaks website and the suggestion of “being hacked” by hackers was thrown as an interesting thought.
